THE KING

Hello guys,

I hope this post meets you well, blogging is not as easy as it is trust me, and it's only meant for just the people who are meant to do it. But all in all to become a successful blogger one day requires being consistent and hoping to get discovered one day.  

Anyway, I'm not here to discuss how to be a successful blogger, that's because I am not there yet, but of course I will surely let y'all know when I get there by God's grace. You might be wondering why my title says "The King", well, I will let you know that my name "Igwe"  is an Igbo language From Nigeria, west Africa, which means King, hence the name of this blog.

We are born ROYALS, and our purpose is to create our own world and build our own kingdoms and reign without questioning. 

I am trying to put this post forward as humbly as I possibly can... I am a King! And I want everyone to see me as such. Believe it or not, I am nothing less than a king, my reasons; looking back at my upbringing, I was never from the wealthiest home, but i never suffered really, yes at one point my parent couldn't afford few things like luxurious cars, big house, even maybe couldn't pay my school tuition on time... Basically I wasn't born with a silverspoon, but I happened to have this superpower of always being at the right place at the right time, well I should rather say "most of the time" and I am at this place where i can confidently confidently call myself a King even if no one calls me that or recognizes that. Like I once said "Believe in yourself so much that it wouldn't even matter if there is  anybody else who believes in you, because the reality is, the ultimate faith in yourself is your only chance at making it".

You have to believe in yourself even when no one does, matter of fact, believe in yourself the most when you start doubting your own abilities, that's the only way you can make it. 

No one is born to suffer, we are created to find our pupose and be great at fulfilling those purposes... Now that's what keeps me going; knowing that I've got a purpose to fulfill. I don't want anybody to give up on their dreams, one day we will get there!!! 

Well the reason why i decided to motivate today is because, recently, I have come to understand what it is to want to succeed so bad! It's not even a competition... But rather a matter of finding lifetime happiness. I call myself King (IGWE) because in this world I wanna reign as one, and that's why i dress as one. You are what you call yourself, so call yourself something positive, God had already created us Great! Might as well start living as such.

DAVID BECKHAM KNIT SWEATER BY H&M

Hello guys, 

I hope You all had a nice Monday, despite the cold weather, and that's why I am writing about this shoot today. This shoot is long overdue, but it's better late than never. 

I love sweaters, especially knit sweaters, this one that I have on, Is my favorite sweater in my closet, and this was specifically hand-picked by the  famous and the best footy athlete of all time, David Beckham. Over the years, he had been able to make a statement in the fashion industry, owning his line and being a Sole partner with the popular brand H&M.

This knit sweater is one of the H&M's Fall Collection that David Hand picked, they were called "David Beckham Fall Essentials"..if you go on hm.com you should find a video that David and famous comic star Kevin Hart did, it is a funny one. 

knit sweaters are the best bet to keep you warm for the winter season, and always suitable for layer up.

STREET ETIQUETTE

Hello my friends, I hope y'all are doing great, well today's post has been far behind, but regardless, this is going to be about sense of style called "street etiquette". And before I tell you details about my outfit for this post, I want to point it out that I don't shop "expensive", at least not all the time. I have mentioned several times that my style is a mixture of Vintage or say "old school" and Modern style "new school". I have  few vintage pieces in my closet that I very much cherish, I got them from thrift stores, usually vintage Items are really expensive, when you visit vintage stores, but to get them for a lot cheaper prices, you would have to take time and visit the thrift stores near you, and best believe, they all carry name brands too. To my fellow Nigerians we are familiar with the term "Okirika" or "bend down select", this terms mean fairly used items or "second-hand" product, they all mean "thrift". My grand pa bought me my first three piece suit ever, and hence where I got my style, my grandfather had so many suits and nice shoes, I could say it's in the blood, but my sense of style and my "street etiquette" credits to him.

This particular Camel color suit, is actually a three-piece suit; it came with its pant, but i decided not to get it because it was too big to fit me, and I had no time to go fix it, and I just wanted to rock it with different pants, I am still going to do a different look with the suit. I got it at my favorite thrift store called UNIQUE THRIFT STORE, they do literally have unique items most of the time, or when you get really lucky. to me finding something I love and in my size is a blessing!! I know you all can relate, hahaha.

hello everyone, I know I haven't posted on here for a while now, I apologize for slacking. I promise to keep working and be more conistent. Anyway, how are y'all dealing with the weather, what a drastic one right! Well, I  hope you are ready for this Winter, I have a feeling this one's gonna be brutal, so i advise you invest in strong and really thick outerwears, only the healthy enjoys the fruit of his hard work. Gear up while you work hard.

       Well as an upcoming men style blogger, I am not where I really want to be yet, but I am working on it. But the question is; where do I want to be? and when? Thus, what we call a goal. We all set goals for what we want to achieve, and it helps a lot, because if you want to grow, you have to have a set plan, goals and all. Most people start a fashion blog to get free clothes, lol, some have other reasons, but where I wanna be is that place where I become a brand ambassador for both brands in the fashion industry and beyond. For those who know me, I am involved in a lot of this, just because I am a man of many talents and which at this stage of my life, I am exhibiting those gifts and building them to get better. I am not really gonna be talking about what I'm wearing in this shoot, rather I will get personal, just to share a bit of what's going on with me with those that can relate.

It took me a while to start this blog officially, but i thank God for certain people who either directly, or indirectly motivated my spirit to kick this off. I started this blog at the time I started, not because it took me so long after so many procrastinations over the years, even though I wished I had started earlier, and I probably would have been a big shot by now, or something else would have happened, I do believe in God's timing which I believe also, it's the best.

There are just certain things in life that kick your butt, and you be like "I gotta do something tangible for myself, so I could mean something to myself and people around me". My ULTIMATE GOAL is "Genuine Happiness", I know everyone wants that too, now, what is your own happiness? what is it that you'd achieve today or anytime soon that represents "genuine Happiness" to some it's wealth, to some it's true love, to some, it's doing what they really want to do career wise, to some, it's reuniting with long lost family. Well mine is doing what I love, and being rewarded and being known widely for it, also, finding true love, that's another struggle for anyone who relates, it is hard to find "the one" and that's another topic to be addressed another time. To sum that up, Success and Love sums up my typical happiness, and GOD being at the center of it all.

well to become a successful person, you have to figure out who you are and what you want to do with yourself, growing up as a "church boy" I have experienced so many situations of "conflict of personalities" I got confused about so many things, like what kind of person to date, the  kind of places to places to be at, what to drink or eat, and what to do with my life. I have had people call me pastor, I could assume my lifestyle prompted that, but when you start hearing from men of God that that God wants to use you, you know that's another level. People who really know me would agree with that. Yes, I don't mind doing God's work when he calls me, and that's why I have been careful of how I live my life. Whether you believe it or not, God is the real purpose of life, and until you surrender, and leave everything to God, you would be parabulating around the same spot for a long time.

I have been around people who I thought were better than me, I mean still am around people who are doing better, like relatives, or close friends, maybe you too, but the fact that your life isn't going the way everybody else's are, doesn't mean that it's over for you as long as you don't give up. This not a success story, but that to motivate every hardworking people out there: 

DO NOT GIVE UP! KEEP PUSHING, BREAKTHROUGH IS DOWN THE LINE!!

Well, fall is here, and it's my favorite season and I get to wear suites and layer up, here I am wearing a wool plaid blazer I got from H&M last year. This outfit is perfect for a "Classic hustler", whether you have a 9-5 job or you are a freelance hustler. Wearing a wool jacket or coat is just right!

The "ESSENCE" of STYLE

The "Essence" of my style is to communicate to the world without verbal speech, and to also play  a positive role in influencing  young adults around the globe who want to be addressed properly and no being looked down upon.

It is New York Fashion Week, and it has been great so far. Today, I am at the Essence style block party, and I am so happy I attended, because I was able to network with a lot of Designers, bloggers like myself, models and top notch people in the industry. The music was great, good vibes, and i noticed a lot of African fabrics and styles, basically African fashion took over the party, I was really happy about that.

So I decided, to do a quick shoot of my outfit. I got my gold flipflops from ASOS, and i really wanted to do a shoot with it, and also wanted to wear it differently, thus, the outfit i have put together, a casual look.
